The Delicate Arch complex is part of an over arching art gallery spread across 120 square miles. The number of arches in Arches Park as well as the sacred geometrical intra-arch alignments make this area stand out. Acoustic, hydro, solar, celestial and interdimensional technological architectures are on display at Delicate Arch. Our goal is to conduct simple experiments with the help of volunteers who are planning a trip to Delicate Arch or who live nearby and are regular visitors.
Playing musical tones and singing, either solo or with a group, are important steps in understanding the audio dynamics of this lost science. Numerous ampitheaters surround the arch and we hope to test and measure the acoustics of these ampitheaters and well as that of the arch itself. We encourage anyone visitng the park to "sing" into the arches and make note of any strangeness.
